The Lamplighter

I was approached by a young Durban artist about a year ago who wanted to do some portrait paintings particularly of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Fine I said , give it your best shot. I gave her the famous Lamplighter book. 
Today we have 4 oil on canvas original paintings. She lights her Shabbos candles, Built a succah this past Tishrei with her family, gives Tzedaka regularly and made a shiur with a friend learning Chumash with Rashi. More than that, she feels that the Rebbe has made a connection with her deep in her soul as she puts it!!

Val Alice a Jewish artist from Durban South Africa now suggested trying to raise funds for our Chabad House, especially since we were planning to bring another couple out on Shlichus here in Umhlanga. Added to this she wanted to commemorate the Rebbe's continued leadership today.
