Merkos Shlichus

Young Rabbinical students will be traveling the length and breadth of Zululand (Kwazulu- Natal) meeting up with Jews and looking for Jews in the outlying areas. This project is being implemented by the directives of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, to go out and assist and inspire  these Jews who for whatever reason find themselves in remote areas. We try provide them with the opportunity to learn some Torah, to do another Mitzva and to try and maintain contact with the Chabad House [ see Hi Tech Judaism ]

On the South Coast we often have get togethers. Some of the Jews meet at a central venue and we take down Kosher food and books. The men all get a chance to put on Tefillin and we share some Chassidic stories and words of inspiration.
